MAPFRE has officially opened its Assistance subsidiary in the capital of India, Mumbai. With this new MAPFRE ASISTENCIA subsidiary called INDIA ASSISTANCE, the MAPFRE Group continues its drive to expand its international presence, especially on the Asian continent, where it has been operating since 1994 and already has offices in China (Beijing and Shanghai), the Philippines and Bahrain.
INDIA ASSISTANCE will commence its operations in India by providing corporations and companies with roadside assistance services, through a nationwide network of service providers and its assistance centre. In the medium term, it is envisaged that this subsidiary will also offer travel assistance services and further increase its portfolio with other MAPFRE ASISTENCIA products. India is one of the fastest-growing emerging economies, with tremendous potential for the development of assistance services.
